Privacy Policy

The Short Version

531 Tracker is designed with your privacy in mind. All your workout data stays on your device. We collect a small amount of anonymous usage data to understand how the app is used and improve it — never your workouts, never your identity, and you can turn it off in the app's settings.

Your workout data never leaves your device

Data Storage

All information you enter into 531 Tracker—including your workout programs, lifting records, and personal records—is stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your phone.

We do not have servers that receive, store, or process your workout data.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

To understand how the app is used and where it can be improved, 531 Tracker collects a small set of anonymous usage events — for example, which screens are viewed, which features are used, when the app is opened, and general app and device information (app version, device model, operating system version).

This data is anonymous by design:

  • Events are tied to a random identifier generated on your device — never to your name, email, or any account.
  • Your workout data (programs, lifts, weights, records, bodyweight) is never included in analytics events.
  • We do not collect precise location, and IP addresses are not stored.
  • Nothing is used for advertising, shared with data brokers, or sold — this data exists only to improve the app.

You can turn analytics off at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy. The app works identically with it off.

Where a legal basis is required (e.g. under UK/EU data protection law), we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our own app, balanced by the minimal, anonymous nature of the data and the in-app opt-out.

Data We Don't Collect

531 Tracker does not collect:

  • Personal information (name, email, etc.)
  • Workout or fitness data
  • Location data
  • Advertising identifiers — we show no ads and do not track you across other apps or websites

Third-Party Services

531 Tracker uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase data as required to process transactions. For more information, please refer to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Anonymous usage analytics are processed by PostHog, hosted in the European Union, acting as our data processor. For more information, please refer to PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Your Control

Since all workout data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. Deleting the app will remove all associated data. You can also clear your data from within the app settings at any time.

Anonymous analytics can be switched off in Settings → Privacy inside the app. Deleting the app also discards the random analytics identifier, unlinking any previously collected events from your device.
